You may not realize that your lack of sexual desire could be due to a common medical
condition that affects many women just like you. Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder,
or HSDD, is indicated by a decrease or absence of sexual desire that causes personal
distress.
Local study physicians are conducting a medical research study of LibiGel®,
an investigational medication for HSDD in women. A tiny amount of LibiGel® is
applied to the skin of the arm once a day to see if it can help increase testosterone
levels.
If you volunteer to take part, the research staff will explain the study procedures
to you, the length of your participation and the number of visits, and discuss the
possible risks and benefits of your participation. This information will also be
provided in writing in an “Informed Consent Document” that you will
review and sign. If you qualify, you will be enrolled in the study. You may elect
to withdraw from the study at any time after notifying the study staff.
